It a written record and an agreement between the supervisor and the employee that serves to become part of the employee's record creating a personal history with the organization. There are four basic steps to formal performance evaluations: Preparation, Communication, Agreement, and Follow-up. I feel all steps and performance evaluations are important because management need an effective performance evaluation system; establish in writing the goals and objectives that the job requires and that the employee needs to meet is necessary in every company.
