What is the impact of compensation and benefits on following?a)employee performance? |
What is the impact of compensation and benefits on following?a)employee performance? Are you asking how comp & benefits are tied to an employee's work performance? if so, then benefits are typically not impacted, but obviously compensation would be. The better a worker you are the more opportunity you have to get promoted, get larger raises and get bonuses/stock options, etc. If you're asking more about the value of other forms of compensation & benefits, then there is a lot that can be thrown under that bucket. My employer provides me with a list of everything that they contribute towards my comp & benefits so I get to see it all in one place. They pay about $5k/year for my medical, dental, vision, and life insurance (I only pay $30 per month). They also put in another $3k into my 401k for me for free. I also get 4 weeks worth of vacation a year, and that has to factor into your overall compensation. And finally, I get to participate in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan which gives me a 15% discount on company stock. You have to factor all of those things in when you're looking for a job or in evaluating how much you're being compensated. If i haven't fully answered your question, just email me and I can expand on this. I'm in Human Resources and can give you an experienced and objective point of view. Good luck. |
