Other than medical, dental, vision, 401k etc, What would be a great new employee benefit? |
Beyond the normal average to great benefits many companies provide, as a worker, what type of benefits would you appriciate the most? Gym membership, once a month spa treatment, comedy night etc. If you really wanted to make your employees feel appriciated, how would you reward them beyond bonuses, compliments or promotions? The best employers I ever had went out of their way to allow us to have lives. That meant flexible work schedules to allow for kids, travel time, spousal schedules, etc. We stayed and worked for less than we would have other places because we were treated as valued contributors to the team and we gave more than was ever expected of us because we were grateful and knew what a gift their flexibility was. Free products from where they work! flexible hours or the ability to work from home. Of course in my job thats not possible, so gym memberships, spas are great ideas and here at the hospital night shift, we always appreciate food!! Child care and sick kid care are also great benefits. Paid Gym Membership. Some Clubs have a corporate memberships, regardless of the number of employees you have. I had a job that included that benefit, and there was about 14 of us who had the membership. It helped out a lot, relieved stress, and helped me lose 30 lbs! Gym memberships are great. BUT it needs to be a good gym with all gym availability so you can go near work or near home (should those two be a distance apart). On-site day care. Flexible hours and telecommuting are great benefits. Honesty from management a get out of jail free card! |
