Federal fiscal policies leaving America in debt to China, Japan President Bush鈥檚 fiscal recklessness has put Americans in hock to China and this financial crisis is more than serious. It鈥檚 not a question of whether it鈥檒l come, but when and how serious it is. As China is now the biggest buyer of all in gobbling up our new debt. That gives China leverage over us, and it undermines our national security. The Bush administration is managing America鈥檚 finances like a team of drunken sailors, and most Republicans keep quiet in a way that betrays their conservative principles. Bush peddled tax cuts for the rich with data that ultimately proved equally faulty 鈥?yet the tax cuts remain cemented in place. Here鈥檚 the shocker: The American national debt for the preceding 225 years was just over $5 trillion. With the entrance of Bush, it is now over $7 trillion, and it is estimated when Bush leaves office it will be near $10 trillion. Bush wants to do away with the death/estate tax, but what he鈥檚 really done will leave every U.S. child facing a 鈥渂irth tax鈥?of about $150,000! Every U.S. child born will owe that much to babies in China and Japan. No wonder babies cry. Gary Zimmerman I know this may come as a shocker to you, but if the public schools didn't have to spend so much time teaching children to sit down and learn, we wouldn't be so far behind in education. The liberals have all but destroyed teachers' ability to keep control of their classroom so children can learn. The liberals can complain about the numbers all they want, but they pose no solutions. what they always fail to tell you is america is owed 141 trillion dollars! understand better now! if you get two sides you can see what they don't want you to know! The liberals are the cause of our problems with public education. I know nine year old home schooled kids that are taking the seventh grade state test and scoring in the 90's. Public schools have died and should be returned to city/state control and the liberals should be banned from interfering. If you don't pay people a salary plus tuition to go to college, you get what you pay for: no-talent rich kids and no-talent brown-noses who work without pay and live like 12-year-olds until they are 22 because they are afraid to grow up. The few with talent don't produce much either, because if someone lives like a child, he will end up with the mind of a child. These are obvious facts that are never mentioned, indicating that we are brainwashed into only coming up with irrelevant solutions. Any country that confiscates inheritance and pays it talented youth up front, instead of asking them to humiliate themselves through unpaid education, will lead the world. |
