What kind of job could I get with little to no higher education? |
I graduated high school about a year and a half ago. my original plan was to go off to a four year college and get my bachelors degree... while i was off at school i got really sick and i took a semester off. i then went to cosmetology school but didnt complete it because of another illness. im now healty but my student loans are coming in so i am unable to go to college at this point in my life, especially now that im living on my own... what kind of jobs are out there that dont require too much education but pay well? Forget about a job, that is trading your time for somebody else's money, find what it is that really gets you up in the morning. Then figure out how to make money at that. There are many companies out there that allow you independence and provide real money. You can't quit though. You will have to put in time and intelligent work. Source(s): Myself Almost anything in Alberta, Canada - big labour shortage especially in retail and service industry. Sales jobs that are commission often pay well if you work hard. Like someone else said Sales Jobs offer you a pretty good pay (example:Pharmaceutical reps), but the thing about that is with most (that i've seen) they want you to have a 4 year degree, or atleast so many years experience in sales, but if you want quick and fairly easy money, going into sales is pretty good. You've stated that you were in Cosmetology but couldn't complete it due to the fact that you were ill. Even though you don't have your license or whatever maybe you could make a little money on the side with doing hair IN YOUR OWN HOME. you could work in the high school in special Education.Full benies on that or you could run a daycare from your house a 3 yr plan ... as you make more money you could buy your own home, get more kids hire someone else without much education, get more kids move up again hire a cook. move up buy a bigger house get more workers... hire a manager relax drink a beer and take yourself off the roster. myself !!! Go back to school full time. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200. If you go back full time, your college loans will be deferred until you graduate. Take advantage now. A college degree is worth and average of over $20,000 a year higher in salary. Moreover, and this is already beginning to happen, the bachelor's degree is becomming the new high school diploma. You do not want to be under what is considered the bare minimum. |
