If Brits are so worried about immigrants taking their jobs?

why don't they stay in school longer get a better education, and take those jobs back that they are losing to the immigrants? I've never been beat out for a job by an immigrant, but I don't call in sick, and I'm not a lazy *** yob. Maybe that has something to do with it?

I feel the same as you. Why don't the people who lose their jobs to immigrants think the problem might be with themselves. Afterall if an immigrant who might not speak english as well or hasn't had the same world class education can take their job, something must be wrong with them. There is a minimum wage in place so it's not like immigrants are working for 5p an hour.

Another thing, if they are losing jobs, why not be angry with the employers for selling them out to cheaper labour? It's whats gone on for centuries with out own government and big huge corporations.

Also, the more immigrants that come, the more jobs will be needed. For every 30 immigrant children there will need to be a new teacher. Or for every 50 immigrants there will need to be more dentists, doctors, police, nurses etc. so more higher skilled jobs (which Brits can go for) are becomming available, while immigrants are covering the lower-end jobs that we've grown too lazy/proud to do. But not only are high-skilled job available, more immigrants also mean we need more people to do other low jobs, such as we will need more refuse collectors, more cleaners, more civil service jobs for brits who can't work in high-skilled jobs. There's no denying the FACT that immigrants have boosted our economy, the figures don't lie.

I think you're missing the point.

Immigrants are getting the jobs because they accept a lower wage, not because they're better educated.
The jobs being taken are not the jobs that require schooling.
I don't really think that that is the main concern for the Brits. Just like here in the US, we have so many illegals its not funny. I'm not afraid of them taking anything away from me, its just the fact that they are breaking the law. If I have to abide by the law in the country I choose to be in, then, so do they.
The brits have no cause to gripe. Those immigrants are legal immigrants and doing nothing wront but working and supporting their families.
