Can my 8th grade education beat a Harvard MBA for a job we are both applying for? |
We are competing for a gas station job changing trash. Can my years of janitorial experience beat his overwhelming education? If the guy with the Harvard MBA was our very own Dubya, I for one would hire you. Clearly he can only create a mess, cleaning one up is wayyyyy over his head. I guess so well for a gas station job u need more experience than a college degree. so u have a better chance since u have more experience. But if he does a better job than u although u have more experience then he has a better chance of getting the job. It's going to be close. Take a mop with a sturdy handle along for the walk-in and don't be afraid to use it on the floor, failing which, on the competition. The Harvard grad will probably understand better than you the subtle mechanics of leverage and friction associated with changing trash bags. But your overwhelming experience will better equip you to actually use those forces to change the trash. On top of that, the Harvard grad would want more money and probably won't stay long. When you're interviewed, come clean in the interview and you'd win the job. Good luck, and don't forget to wash your hands before eating! No because the other guy can calculate the future value of the paper towels wasted when children under 10 are allowed to use the bathrooms unchaperoned. Does his daddy and friends own the store? |
