I have a 2 year degree in early childhood education, where do i start to find a job? |
I'm not interested in attending more school, to recieve my teaching certificate. I do want to work with children. My main concern is to just make an immpact on another persons life. I'm good hearted and want to have fun. i specialized in special education focusing on deaf studies. I completed 4 years of American Sign Language. My mother owned and opperated her own daycare center when i was growing up and loved the atmosphere. I need someone to help!! haha I don't want a "baby-sitting" job either. I'm a 23 yo male who believes men need to play a better role in childrens lives. Just about anywhere. Most preschools are very short staffed. Here in Hawaii, however, you need a four year degree to be a teacher, or a very specialized two year certificate. My wife is the trainer for a large group of preschools here, if you want more info - send me a message. And, yes, they are always willing to hire responsible men ... however, the scrutiny is very intense for men, as you might imagine. I dont know the requirements for this, but open yourself a "kindergarten" for kids age 3-6 if you can and are qualified....and get loans for your start up....they can be very rewarding financially. Also, they are old enough so you dont need to babysit...and you teach them how to read, math, and other activities such as dancing, singing, music instrument etc. |
