What is the purpose of going to school if we can still get a job without an education? |
What is the purpose of going to school if we can still get a job without an education? To broaden you mind and learn to work with and get along with all kinds of people, to learn punctuality and responsibility, to learn to follow rules of society and organizations, to learn social skills and communication skills, etc. Because you can get a better job with an education. Much better. WAY much better. i heard it this way from someone: all most businesses really care about is a piece of paper; it doesn't matter what degree you have. You could have a degree in Philosophy and get a job at a business fairly easily; and esp. the grocery business... Keeping a manageable number of people in the workforce was the original reason! World wide restrictions on child labour reinforced that. You'd do a better job than George is the most recent order of the day! You gotta remember that Brownie did a heck of a job! What makes you think you could have done better? Europe on 25 000 Euros a day! I suppose it depends upon what KIND of job you want? It is a difference in the quality of your life as opposed to just existing. Most people want nicer things in life, but many are not willing to put out the effort to achieve them. I see school as this way, staying in school takes effort that will be rewarded by a higher paying job with more opportunities. I know, we all hear about those rare few that never completed grade school and became wealthy business owners...those were different times and I can pretty much guarantee that they worked many times harder going that route than they would have going to school. yes u can get a job with no or less qualifications ..but education is food for the brain and to have a healthy brain knowledge is good. education gives u the tools to be knowledgable and also equips ur brain to learn new stuff easily. no education may lead to a dead end job with a qualification u can aim high>> |
