What kinds of jobs can you get with just a Spanish BA degree? |
Without having a minor/double major in education, business, etc., what kinds of jobs can a bachelor of arts Spanish degree get you? Below is a link of jobs and the types of places that employ people with a degree in a foreign Language. You will see that their are many areas other than the typical education and business. I hope this helps. http://www.daltonstate.edu/ace/majors/ht... Court Interpreter Well...it's a darn good question. I am a Spanish major...but getting the teacher certificate. My advisor said I couldn't do anything with a BA......but she is also an idiot. I know in IL to be a translator you must pass some kind of test or certification. At my school they don't even offer any type of translation classes. One of my friends just graduated last semester with a BA in Spanish and she is working at some company that hires a lot of Hispanic workers and she translate for the boss. My advice is to do a double major or have a minor. I have a part-time job until I graduate and I am constantly needing Spanish to communicate with the customers....but they don't even pay me extra for being bilingual. you can be a translator for the immigrations office ,my guidance counsellor told they make serious money ,you can also be secondary school teacher, even a journalist ,writting news in spanish ,there are a wide range of jobs open for people with language degrees.
