What kinds of jobs are well suited for ex-teachers?

I am currently an elementary school teacher, but I'd like to change careers. I'm just not sure what kind of jobs I'm qualified for with an education degree.

Many businesses don't care what sort of degree you have, but they just want someone with a university level education. For example, I have a friend with a degree in history who works at some sort of managerial position at a bank, and I have another friend who has degrees in French, Spanish, and Japanese who works at a medical engineering company. Most companies don't mind what degree you have just so long as you have one.

For an ex-elementary school teacher, jobs which require patience and interaction with people would be good. You could probably be a social worker or work in something related to psychology or sociology. Of course, you could always take a position which doesn't require much for education beyond high school such as a McDonald's worker... Best of luck!
Any job that requires a person to be patient - companies would consider you for a job dealing with clients or customers - their reasoning would be that if you can deal with children- you can handle irrate people at times - depending on how much you want to make, you can consider customer service jobs
day care business or join the military
