B.S. in Business Management degree - jobs?

I am currently working in an administrative position at a small office. My job title is "Office Manager" but lack some of the duties others would have in a larger office with the same position. I've applied for many jobs but never get anywhere. So I decided more education might be the key. I am going back to school to get a B.S. degree in Business Management. Do you think this will improve my chances in finding new position and advancing? Or am I wasting my money?

Might get you more interviews as some companies insist on a degree. I started college at 30, graduated at 36 am doing the same job I did before the degree except for more money. It definitely got me more interviews.
Would it be possible for you to contact someone from a past interview and just ask them why you didn't get the job. Tell them you want to improve and the only way you can do is to know what is stopping you from moving ahead. There is nothing wrong with more education, but I have learned it doesn't always pay for itself unless its in the medical field or a lawyer. I have my Associates Degree and met all the requirements educational wise and experience wise for the management training program at the bank I used to work for. When they turned me down for the program, I decided I would look elsewhere, well my looking paid off I now work for the City I live in, make $2.00 more an hour and have better benefits all without having to go back and get my bachelors degree, which I had considered. After I left the bank, I did ask why I didn't get into the Management program, there answer was, it wasn't anything to do with me, it was they seen me doing a great job at the branch I was working at and didn't want to take me away from there. Now everytime I go back in there to do my banking, one of the VPs always says we have an opening in that Management program and I just smile and say no thanks. I hoped that gave you some insight, I know I kinda of rambled on, but I had to tell the whole story :) Good Luck to you!
I think it's a smart move! You'll definitely get a better response to your resume, you'll get a better job & better pay. Good luck!
