How hard is it to find a good job with a ba in education but u went awol from the military?

i have already tried to apply for unemployment benefits & was turned down because i was discharged with "other than honorable" conditions...

This whole thing disgusts me. I feel like the military simply lures people into joining with a bunch of false promises and then forces ythem to stay even if they later find that it's just not for them. It's has to be the only job you just can't quit.

I actually have a friend who went AWOL and I'm glad he did, as it may have saved his life. Now he has a pretty decent job doing electrical work. I'm not so sure about something in education, but then again I have a BA in Sociology and it's virtually IMPOSSIBLE to find a decent job period. I have to work 2 crappy ones instead.

Anyway, don't listen to the A-holes who are calling you a coward. I don't know you're particular reason for wanting out, but it is always honorable to stand up for yourself. I know a lot of people that have served in Iraq only to realize that our government and this war is nothing but a profit-making sham. Don't get me wrong, I whole-heartedly respect anyone who will risk their own life for the love of their country and given the opportunity, I'd do it in a heartbeat if there was an honorable war taking place. But, honestly, our government doesn't give a damn about you, me or anyone that is fighting in Iraq. They don't even provide them with proper equipment!!! I think everyone should go AWOL all at once so that we can get this war over with once and for all!

Why would we want an AWOL soldier teaching our kids? You can probably find a job somewhere in another country. Because morons like you are certainly not wanted here in America.
Yeah youre screwed, you might want to try lowering your standards to the prospects that are available to high school dropouts or ex convicts.
Hopefully impossible. You obviously cannot handle commitment and have no personal responsibility - why would we want that taught to children?

Try getting your dishonorable discharged changed to honorable. try reenlisting to do a tour in a combat zone.
