How do you make a resume if you don't have much work or education experience?

For example, I haven't held a job for more than nine months, and even those jobs were part-time positions in resturants and stores. As for education, I am working on getting an Associates Degree, then I'm going to transfer into a four year program at Point Park University. I am doing rather well in school though. Plus I am only 20 years old. Thanks in advance!!

you need to lengthen your sentences and concentrate on the actual tasks you performed whilst in each job... for example

Cash handling = One of my responsibilities involved cash handling. I was responsible for the day to day running of the counter which included cashing up at the end of the day.

I served at tables = One of my main duties was waiting on tables. I had to achieve an extremely high level of customer care, Listening to the customers requests and ensuring the correct food was given to the correct table.

Explain what your future entitles and again be very wordy and informative with your descriptions. Don't be afraid to sell yourself but be careful not to come across as being big headed or arrogant.

If you are given a section about why you feel you should be employed at a particular company, do some research first and then find out which attributes you can elaborate on.
So if they want someone who can remember numbers, explain that your main duties at your last position involved remembering many order numbers, and then delivering the goods without mistakes etc.

Good luck
in the work experience box just type fresher
list schools you have graduated from
list clubs and organizations you are / have been a member of
list any and all jobs you have had
list hobbies
keep it short and to the point
no one wants to read a book about you!
As a student it is normal to hold many part time jobs unrelated to your eventual career, don't worry about that. Actually, holding jobs while going to school shows initiative. Just be honest, many people also want to know about your interests, even if your experience is limited. For instance, my vet just hired a 20 year old receptionist with no experience in offices, but she had animal experience through her hobby with dog agility competition. Your hobbies or interests can get you an entry level job, so you can fill in the blank resume space with interests. Lots of specialty businesses hire receptionists, etc., and if a person doesn't have work experience, an interest in that type of business is almost as good.
refer to microsoft's template website to find a resume that highlights your skills and attributes instead of work experience. Also, pursuing an Associates degree is a major accomplishment, make sure it stands out on the resume.

best wishes
