Education standard?

Why do American government lower the standard of Education so that lazy folks could get easy passage? And why do we have to be angry at the Asians for doing the jobs we are not qualified to do?

I vehemently oppose lowering the educational standards that the federal and state governments are forcing us to do. It's obscene. Asians work hard, earn heartily, and progress in life through these efforts. Why be angry with the Asians? Why not be angry with the Americans who are forcing us to dummuy down our public schools in order to be fair to everyone? That's what I'm angry about, especially since the No Child Left Behind unfunded mandate is putting really mentally impaired students (retarded) into classes with regular education kids. This forces the teacher to make all kinds of situations to dummy down the class so that the "numbers" will look good for the school system. It's a travesty that will take at least a generation to correct. In the meantime, how many children will be lost to ignorance, lack of appropriate teaching, and stupid education legislators? Too many, way too many.

No I don't, I think that everybody in the World that take tests should have the same standard of work, so when it comes to jobs, the people that do the jobs have the correct qualifications, so there should be less issues with jobs.
I don't agree that standards have been lowered. As a recently retired special education teacher I have experienced the raise in standards over the last 8 years. Standards are necessary if academic achievement among all student groups is going to increase. The problem is that the Federal government assumes that all of these groups make academic gains at the same rate. To expect english language learners and special needs students to meet the same percentage of growth as mainstream students goes against any understanding of how students learn. No Child Left Behind needs to be revised through legislation to focus on realistic academic achievement goals for each student sub-group and multiple academic assessments rather than one test to determine if the goals have been met. I really don't have much to say about Asians doing jobs that they are qualified for. Although those that are angry probably think they are qualified but aren't.
