Where can I find detailed information about social service jobs and education requirements needed for them?

I am getting ready to go back to school but I need to know what kind of degree I need to work towards and the different classes I need to sign up for. I would like to work in the social service field but I need more information on the types of jobs, their descriptions, how much they pay, etc. Any information you may have or websites I can go to will help. Thanks.

The degree depends on the type of social service you want to do. You can have personal financial counselors, therapists, family service counselors and more. You can find universites offering degrees in counseling, psychology, social work or closely related clinical fields. These would be your best bets.

Use the link below to find out about available jobs in your state. Some may require no degree, while other may require a masters. In any event, you will probably also see some salaries listed.

do a search on eCIS career and find the official site. create an account, and you're set. that site is amazing it has like every job you can think of including its: overview, skills and abilites, physical demands, wages, education to prepare and more!
