Education, Job, and AA degree.. Is there no option 4 me??

I'm planning on going for an AA degree in English but I don't know if there's anything at all out there for me. I mean I hear ppl say there's not much. So if I can't find a job with that college degree than how can I pay for my university education?

I'm really struggling with that right now. The truth is
I can't transer to a university because I can't get financial aid or scholarships due do resident status.

I mean I want to be someone important in life and I'm working hard but I have many obstacles. And then if I ever get the AA how will I even get a job permit in this situation?

I might as well let it go and continue working minimum wage. Maybe this was not meant for me...

I need some encouragement and advise... so please help.. thanks

Is there a paper or publisher you could work for as an editorial assistant? What about the local school district as a teacher's aide?
I am sure there is something you can do with an AA degree in English. Can your counselor at your college be of assistance and maybe help you find a job in the area? Can you do a work/study program at your school? Don't give up!!! ALl the best.

sorry, the only reason to even bother with an AA in english is if you plan on getting a BA in english. no jobs for you.

Stick it out until you get your residency....typically only 12 months for most states.

You've got an AA in English and that's fantastic! Did you ever think about working at a college? Obviously you understand the importance of education and what a great way to do something for your community.......helping others get enrolled and start living their dream.

What about tutoring? Don't give up on your dreams just because you've been detoured! Use your knowledge to give someone the gift of learning.

i am 46 years old, and more or less in the same boat as you. i am trying to get in to college (also a.a.) but b/c of the status i filed (irs) they want me to amend my taxes. to amend means i have to pay 1,443. im so tired of telemarketing jobs. min.wage jobs. this was my last hope. so tomorrow ill go back to school and hope for the best. my advise to you: be .patient, do not despair. if not now then later.
