What are some of the highest paying jobs in the military that dont require a college education also i am 28?

i hear some jobs get special pay what are some of the best

So what are you looking for exactly. All jobs as enlisted all get payed the same. The money depends on time in service and rank on how much u get paid.

When you get deployed you get extra pay. If you are airborne you get special pay.

Pay in the military is by rank and years of service.

Generals do better than privates.

Your pay will be determined by your rank, not job. I think linguists get 100 extra a month for each language they speak. Married soldiers get paid more and people in high cost of living areas get paid more...and you obviously get hazardous duty pay in some duty stations. I wouldn't come in the military for money though.

It sounds like you are not a person who would be successful in the military.

Do you know what the term 'selfless service' means?

Don't worry about the pay, if you plan on staying in, look into which fields have a higher re-enlistment bonus.

base pay is the same across the board by rank and time in service. Bonuses and special pays are not factored in, since they are not always offered or available.

The job sthat get special pay are airborne qualified, and certain temporary assignments like drill sergeants and stuff. But you get more money for being married, while you are deployed, etc...

You cant get that. But think about the jobs that pay more when you get out.

paid by rank

Well certain jobs do pay better than others. It depends on what you do. I'm on Submarines as a Sonar Technician so I get certain "incentive" pays. While stationed on a Submarine I get the following.
Base Pay = $2830/mo (E-6 >10yrs)
Sub Pay = $375/mo (I always get this)
Sea Pay = $450/mo (I get this when at a sea going command)
I will be transferring to a job where I will get all that plus Special Duty Assignment Pay (SDAP)
SDAP = $415/mo
So as you can see over a E-6 with no incentive pay I get $825/mo more. At my next command, after I get qualified I will be making $1240/mo over an E-6 w/o any incentive pay.

Also for Re-enlistments people in my rate can get up to $45,000 for re-enlisting. I did that twice so far.

I had no college education when I joined at 19. The reqs. to get get into Subs is ASVAB >50, and Submarine Sonar is even higher than that.

ADDED: I have also been doing this for 11 years, when I first started out the incentive pays where not that much. The more time at sea and on subs, the higher the incentive pay. The SDAP to even think about that job you need to be E-6 or higher, with 6 years, in plus several other things.

The general pay for all enlisted are the same. However, some get enlistment bonuses for terms of enlistments. Some of the positions that get higher bonuses are positions like linguists i.e are proficient in foriegn languages, certain aircraft maintainences jobs, and experts in the electronics, etc. There are many out there, whether you qualify for them you need to work with recruiters and go from there. Good Luck.

you can get flight pay, sea pay, hazardous duty pay, even recruiters get some type of special pay.... so i guess if you were a pilot stationed on a air craft carrier near iraq you could qualify for most of those things... lol.... some jobs also have signing bonuses the armies are the largest. special duty assignment pay.... i say do whatever submariner is doing... all his incentive pay looks great! I always wondered how military guys buy a lexus. my recruiter had a bmw and he was an e-5

sexual favors.

-Jump pay [?]
-Hazardous duty pay
-deployment pay
-enlistment/reenlistment bonuses

All jobs in the military pay exactly the same. No matter what the specialty is. The pay is based on the rank + years of service. For instance an E-6 with 12 years of service makes a little more than an E-6 with 9 years of service.

There are extra earnings for combat duty and hazardous duty, but no extra pay for the different jobs.

Hope that helps clear things up for you.

My counsel is to look into the mos' that have security clearancs, and study to get into one of those...Your service will only be 4 years, unless you choose to re enlist, and you will want to have a career to enter into that will enable you to be paid a salary that is livable. Get the ASVAB book and start studying.

28 years old? I think you have already crossed the line for the Air Force. I don't know what the age cut off are for the other branches, but I am sure you are pushing it now. Maybe look into the Reserves.
