Common jobs/occupations in Sub Saharan Africa?

What are some of the most common jobs/occupations in Sub Saharan Africa? What jobs/occupations do most people have? And do these jobs need a (high level of) education? I'm researching about this subject, and answers would be much appreciated. Thank you :)

Thank you for all your replies! And I meant the jobs in which people have in rural villages (where there's a lot of poverty and disease) So sorry if there was any confusion. :)

Mud hut building, spear tossing contestant, tribal warlord, fine wine production (one of those people that sit around and spit in a bowl of mashed fruit all day whilst stirring it until it turns to "wine"), or you could go into the fashion industry (loin cloth designer), etc... The opportunities truly are endless and I wish you nothing but the best. Good luck.

Sub S A is a realy big place you will find any occupation there. The first heart transplant , the continental drift theory, the structure of DNA was founded here. If you do have a high level of ed you will excell, the area is too big and diverse to give a one line answer. SA &Botswana are worlds apart from the rest ,and many others to.
Karibu

Karibu is right. Sub-Saharan Africa is made of up of over 40 countries..

Here's a small abstract that might help:

Khat harvester
Warlord
Militiaman
Arms dealer

Some try to do farming, but they're not very good at it.

Your question is astonishingly large. "Sub-Saharan Africa" includes incredibly wealthy metropolises and destitute rural areas, as well as downtrodden urban areas and aristocratic countryside.

In short, the same jobs that are 'common' all over the world are common in Sub-Saharan Africa. It can not be boiled down, stereotyped or made any more simple. You're talking about a vast geographic region and a vastly diverse workforce population.

Farmers, miners, telephone operators, business people, drug dealers and market shop keepers. They've got it all. Don't assume "Africa," or even "sub-Saharan Africa" is a monolithic being with just a few types of people.

Probably everything they do here. Yeah, national geographic likes to pretend everyone lives in the forest, but they have big cities.
